A recently published article on the Times Higher Education (THE) website describes how ELTE Faculty of Economics prepares its students for long-term success.
Graduate employability is of top priority in ELTE’s business programmes. As Dr László Szívós, Director of International Affairs and Programmes, explains:
“Our aim is to prepare graduates who are adaptable, confident, and able to remain competitive in the labour market throughout their career.”
To achieve this, the Faculty employs a diverse portfolio of tools: it offers a flexible educational structure, creates an international learning environment, and provides strong theoretical and practical foundations. Students can study almost every subject in both Hungarian and English, while lectures are also accessible as recorded videos, supporting flexible learning and allowing students to progress at their own pace.
ELTE’s comprehensive academic environment also contributes to its students’ personal growth. It enables them to think beyond their own field of study and find solutions to real-world problems.
The Faculty maintains partnerships with several multinational companies operating in Budapest, including Morgan Stanley, BlackRock, EY, and Deloitte. These corporate partners are also actively involved in education: their managers and experts deliver guest lectures and simulation-based courses for which participating students can earn credits. This helps students gain not only theoretical knowledge but also directly applicable industry experience.
An international perspective permeates every aspect of education at the Faculty. In addition, Erasmus+ and other exchange programmes provide students with opportunities to complete shorter or longer study periods abroad at partner institutions or even traineeships.
Through all these initiatives, ELTE Faculty of Economics aims not only to support its graduates in finding their first job, but also to
