Erasmus+ and guest students
The Faculty of Economics welcomes short-term visiting students from higher education institutions around the world. If you would like to study at our Faculty for a couple of months or semesters, consult the support schemes described on the University website dedicated to incoming mobility. One highly popular scheme for students from European universities is the Erasmus+ exchange programme, within whose framework the Faculty of Economics has over 50 Erasmus partner universities in nearly 20 countries. Additionally, ELTE’s bilateral agreements with around 200 partner universities worldwide (including such distant countries as Japan and South Korea) also allow fee-waiver exchange students to study at ELTE for one or two semesters. Short-term opportunities may also be offered by your own country so browse the relevant websites at home, too.
The sections below describe the issues you can and must take care of before and after your arrival in Budapest. Further detailed information on matters like visa and accommodation, as well as Budapest transport and how to reach our Campus, is available under Practical matters. And once enrolled, you will often visit the Current Students’ page to learn about the various administrative tasks and opportunities you as an ELTE GTK visiting student have, and the services the University and the Faculty offer you.
ELTE Faculty of Economics (ELTE GTK) also welcomes Erasmus+/guest students from other ELTE faculties who would like to study some courses at the Faculty. More information on the specific procedures in place at the GTK are accessible under the section “Students from other faculties” below.
