Charges and service fees

Charges and service fees

As a rule, students who follow their standard curriculum and meet the administrative deadlines, are not expected to pay any charges during their studies at ELTE GTK. Charges are imposed for not complying with certain regulations students are expected to be familiar with (i.e., not attending an exam without deregistering from it or without official justification for their absence, registering for courses and exams beyond the default number of opportunities, etc.) and for ignoring well-known deadlines (e.g., payment, or semester and course registration deadlines). For the table containing the exact charges and fees, please scroll down to Table 1 and Table 2.

Charges and fees to be paid by enrolled students are registered in their Neptun account, under Finances / Payment / Transcribed items. By default, charges and fees are registered after the end of the exam period/semester and a 15-day deadline for settling the payments applies from the time when the payment obligation is imposed in Neptun. Missing the deadline for outstanding payments will result in further charges. Additionally, students with outstanding payments in the Neptun system are unable to register for a new semester and/or any exams. Taking the final exam at the end of one’s studies is also not permitted without settling all previous payment obligations.

On managing payments via Neptun, please visit the ELTE Quaestura website.
