ELTE GTK Pentecost Blue Trail Hike

Distance and difficulty:
The hike is 14.1 km long with an elevation gain of 525 meters.
The highest point of the route is Hármashatár-hegy at 485 meters above sea level.

Meeting point and departure:
Date: Monday, June 9, 2025
Location: Budapest, Hűvösvölgy – terminus of the Children's Railway
Departure time: 10:00 AM
The meeting point is accessible by trams 56, 56A, and 61, as well as several bus lines from the city and from Solymár or Nagykovácsi.
Return:
From the Solymár Brick Factory access road, return by bus 218 to Bécsi út, or continue to Flórián Square or Szentlélek Square.

Practical tips:
- Arrive a bit early and grab a lángos at Hűvösvölgy before we start.
- Bring at least 1 liter of water.
- No toilets along the trail – only the forest.
- Bring an old plastic bag for your trash – we won’t be organizing waste collection, and this way your backpack stays clean.
- Wear comfortable, supportive sports shoes with non-slip soles – and no ankle socks!
