How The Agents of Tomorrow was made
The GTK 2024/25 recruitment campaign focuses on the future planning and career development of students - through our events, supported by our publications and the articles available on the Faculty's website. A degree from us is a great advantage in the job market, its value lies in the strength of our courses, the knowledge you gain in three or two years, which is also a gateway to good starting salaries and fast career progression.
There are, of course, many ways to present this: in the summer of 2024, we decided to try something unusual. As a result, the idea for Agents of Tomorrow was born, a film that would give us a glimpse into the imaginary world of the Faculty of Economics education. The script was written by Alex Nagy, who also became the film's director. The filming was planned for the end of the summer, and the actors were students and lecturers of our Faculty: Regina Garam, a student of the Bachelor of Finance and Accounting, and Patrik Soós, a student of the Master of Management and Organisation. Dean Tihamér Dr. Margitay also took a leading role in the production, which was finally brought to life with the help of the GSM film crew and the work of almost 60 people.
The film is, of course, just for fun, meant to entertain us and those who are interested, but it is of the most exciting kind: it is no coincidence that it evokes the atmosphere of certain films. It begins with a very ordinary situation that every high school graduate will encounter by 15 February 2025: Where to go next? Which university or course to choose? Our heroine, Lilla, struggles with the same problem - then she gets help from the most unexpected place and is about to embark on the biggest adventure of her life. Not only does she have to choose, but so does the enigmatic M - played by Dr Tihamér Margitay - who faces the most difficult decision a leader has ever had to make...
The film was shot by Gergely Bernáth, the song Agents of Tomorrow was composed by Herby Black.
